Glow AI ("we", "us") helps you organize your skincare and haircare products and offers AI-generated guidance. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier (and email relay) Apple provides.
• Your content: the products you add (name, brand, category, ingredients, notes, photos) and your beauty profile (skin/hair type, concerns, and — only if you choose to provide it — pregnancy or breastfeeding status), plus an optional profile photo if you choose to add one.
• Subscription status: whether you have an active Premium subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple; we and our billing provider (RevenueCat) receive a purchase/renewal status tied to an anonymous app user identifier. We never receive or store your credit card or payment details — those are handled solely by Apple.
• Usage: basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• To provide the app: store your shelf and profile, and sync them across your devices.
• To manage your Premium subscription and unlock premium features.
• To provide AI features (routines, daily brief and tips, compatibility and safety checks, product identification from a photo, and Ask AI) — as described in the next section. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

AI features and third-party AI services

Glow AI's AI features are powered by third-party AI services. AI features are a core part of Glow AI; when you use them, the data listed below is sent to the third-party AI services described in this section. By creating an account and accepting these Terms and this Privacy Policy, you agree to this processing. If you don't want your data processed this way, don't use the AI features, or delete your account at any time from Settings.

What is sent (only the data the feature you use needs):

• Your beauty profile: skin type, hair type, skin and hair concerns, and — only if you provided it — pregnancy or breastfeeding status.
• Your products: names, brands, categories, ingredients and expiry dates.
• Product photos you take with Identify with AI (photos of product packaging, used to read the label).
• The messages you write to Ask AI.

Your name, email address and password are not sent to AI services.

Who receives it: OpenRouter, Inc. (USA), an AI gateway, which forwards each request to the AI model provider that generates the response — OpenAI, Google, or an infrastructure partner hosting open-source Qwen models.

How it's used: solely to generate the response you asked for. We configure OpenRouter to route requests only to providers that do not retain your data or use it to train AI models.

Face data

Glow AI does not collect, store, use or share face data. The app does not use face detection, face recognition, Face ID, facial geometry or face mapping. The camera is used to scan product barcodes, photograph product packaging and — only if you choose — take a profile photo. A profile photo you add is stored with your account only to display it in your profile; it is never analyzed for facial features, never used to identify you, never sent to AI services or other third parties, and it is deleted when you remove it or delete your account. Your skin score is calculated from your routine activity and your product shelf, not from images of you.

Third parties we share with

• Apple — processes all payments and manages your subscription.
• RevenueCat — our subscription management provider.
• OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (OpenAI, Google, and hosting partners for Qwen models) — generate AI responses when you use AI features.

AI guidance is not medical advice

Assistant output is general information, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your account, products and profile, including your profile photo. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Children

Glow AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
